The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, Web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.

The online course takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete. You will then call 844-307-3770 to schedule a time to demonstrate your skills to one of our instructors (representing part 2 of this 2 part course) within 60 days of completing the online course.

ACLS HEARTCODE®

Maintaining a professional career as a Healthcare Provider can be challenging when scheduling and attending certification courses. As a result, the American Heart Association has developed an official, self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program reflecting new science based on the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. Presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, the student will interact with the program, assessing each patient and formulate treatment based on 2015 ACLS guidelines and provide treatment. The student will practice skills and testing at the Always Safe & Healthy training facility after successfully completing the online cognitive component and receive the ACLS Provider course completion card.

PALS HEARTCODE®

The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements. This blended learning optio allows for you to take the cognitive portion of the course online with the AHA at your own pace! Upon successfully completing this first step, you will schedule a time to come in and complete a review and skills session (parts 2 & 3) in order to receive your PALS certification just as if you took the traditional classroom session. The certification card is the exact same as the classroom session card!!

ACLS

(SKILLS SESSION & TEST ONLY)

Busy Healthcare Providers often need an alternative to traditional, classroom based ACLS training. HeartCode ACLS is the official, self-directed comprehensive e-learning program from the American Heart Association (AHA). Students complete an interactive, cognitive portion that includes ten (10) realistic patient microsimulation scenarios covering the ACLS algorithms, a team dynamics lesson and access to AHA textbooks. Once the student has successfully completed their online course they may take their skills test. Skills test may be complete at an Always Safe & Healthy training center. Once the skills test has been successfully completed the student will receive their official AHA ACLS Certification Card. With HeartCode ACLS, students will not only benefit from a convenient online based course, but will also save valuable time. The online course will only work with PC’s.

PALS

(SKILLS SESSION & TEST ONLY)

The American Heart Association PALS skills session is the hands-on portion of an AHA eLearning Pediatric Advanced Life Support course and includes Parts 2 and 3 – skills practice and testing. It is conducted in-person after a student completes Part 1 online. Please print your completion certificate from the online course and bring that with you to the skills test.

The PALS skills session is conducted by AHA PALS instructor. After successful completion of the skills test, the student will be issued in PALS Provider card.

You are required to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one here.

American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED – 2 Year Certification
